LIFE update!

I am really enjoying life down here in Galveston, school is going pretty well and the social aspect of college is great! I love my new "home" and all the new people I have been so lucky to meet! This weekend on of our sweet-mates went to visit some family friends so it has just been me and Laura! We got quite a bit of work done alongside another good friend today, and most importantly I got a curtain! I have been waking up at nearly 7:00am every morning because I cant sleep when there is natural light in the room, and these lanky dorm blinds don't cover anything! (ignore the mess)

I really loved it because I actually found one that fits my room color!
I have been studying quite hard for a bio exam that I have coming up, I really hope the fact that I started four days in advance on studying rather than one will greatly improve my next grade! I have also been working on my schedule for next semester! I am really really happy with that I have to work with, no classes until 11am each day, and I have nearly all classes with someone I know! Thank God! I am also really excited that all my hours transferred from high school! I no longer have to take a bunch of classes, therefore saving me money! So for next year it looks like i'm taking, Biology, Chem, History, Math, Bio lab, Chem Lab, and an online English course. It will be 17 hours rather than the 14 I took this semester but I think and am praying that I can handle it!
This weekend has really been a do not much of anything weekend, I've gotten a little bit of homework done, a little bit of Netflix watched, two movies in, and am going to go to church and maybe the humane society tomorrow! I really want to cuddle some kitties over there sometime soon!
So here's some random pictures from my first two and a half  months of college!

Just some of the beautiful scenery here where I call home!
Our wonderful trip to Austin where Laura lives!

Some of the many doggy updates from my padre! (isn't she model status?)

This is what happens when I get in a small hammock with three other people!

And our lovely beach day together! #5348

I have really been enjoying my time down here like I said, and its only just begun! So many more memories to be made! Although, not all of it is fun and games, I have some hard stuff coming up! Registering for classes, taking finals, dealing with exams! But all of it will be worth it in the end! I'm so ready for Thanksgiving break, even though we only get Thursday and Friday off, I'm still really ready to go home and see my family and friends! I am truly homesick right now and would really love to head home at any second! BUT not to long before I can go home and get my fill, then come back down here and tough it out until winter break! Until then I will continue to have an amazing time down here near the ocean, I can truly say the title of my blog is truly true! I really am beach side! And i'm loving it!
But I couldn't do it without the man upstairs. Since coming down here I have taken a step back to my faith, I wouldn't say that I am any where near where I want to be, but I am at least getting there. I have realized that I have truly stepped away as a Christian and would in all ways would like to get back to being a true believer and follower in Christ. I have some barriers put up that's keeping me form a lot of things in my life, and I'm not completely sure if I am capable of breaking them down, but I sure am realizing that they are indeed there! And without the help of God I would not be where I am today, and for that I am truly thankful and blessed!

Here is the song of the day! I have known this song for quite a while, and recently heard it and have fallen in love with it all over again!

AggieLand!

So i'm officially all moved into college! I moved into my dorm a little under two weeks ago, and I love it!
Lets start with, the roommate! She is what we call "the allusive roommate" she is never here and when she is, its not for long! We have determined that she only paid for residency because she is to young to live off campus (age is 21 here). So we never see her, shes nice, but weird. So it is really like I have my own room, and that, I am OKAY with. I really like my two suite-mates, they are both really sweet and have really helped me out with this whole not knowing anyone thing!
I also really love my room, its very homey and comfy and wonderful!

Here's home!
Disclaimer* The lights are now fixed!

My first week was pretty good, my classes were all easy to find and I liked all my professors! The work load has kinda begun now that the second week is here, but its still all good! I kinda struggled in the beginning of the week, because I knew nobody, and I kinda felt like a burden to my suite-mates, but that all has pretty much went away. I met some of my suite-mates friends(now my friends too) and we hit it off pretty well!

I really love this campus, I haven't really taken any photos of it, but it is beyond beautiful, and smallish, just how I wanted it. I wouldn't trade this campus for any other! Not to mention the amaaaaaaazing fishing pier that is on our campus!

At clubs night, I signed up for a few churches, dive club, fishing club, and the sailing team. I really thought diving and fishing would be the main groups that I joined, but the one I really really enjoyed was the Sailing team! I went to my first sailing practice on Tuesday, and it was crazy. I thought that I would be stuck learning or reading a book about knots and sails, but, I ended up out on the water. In a real sailboat, scared for my life. It was so overwhelming and crazy. I got paired up with the coach of team, of course, He wanted me to do sooooooooooo much more than everyone else was doing. Lets just say, I had my feet under some old dusty straps and was leaning waaaaaaaaaay out over the side of a tiny sailboat, while steering the dang thing by the end of the three hours out there. It was sooo complicated and painful to learn, i'm very bruised up and sore everywhere, but I had an amazing time and would really love to do it again!
On another note, IM GOING HOME THIS WEEKEND! I'm so excited to see my puppies!! And family/friends of course. I get to make the long trek home tomorrow after class! I really would like to be going to the game (AandM vs RICE) BTHO rice!!!!!!!!!! But home I go!
Here are some random pics from my first two weeks!

Mama won a scholarship!

Aggie jacket came in!

Care package from paps!

One of the many doggie pics I got from padre _-_ HES SO HANDSOME

 First BEACH day!

And the worst thing of all, the mosquitoes on steroids.

Despite the flying vampires, these past few days have been really amazing! I'm loving this new journey!

Song of the dayyyyyyyyy!

MOVING!

Its all becoming so real so fast, even though I still think i'm in denial. I have four more days until I move to college! I'm really excited, but then again just a tiny bit scared. Lies, actually a lot scared. Everything is going to be new, new town, new people, new workload, just all new.
I've come to realize that I don't really like change all that much. Although, i'm trying to come to grips with the idea that change is sometimes good and for the better.
My paps will be taking me down there, we are driving separate though, so ill be alone with my thoughts for 5 hours _-_, I think i'm just going to buy an audio book, I've been wanting to try them out. Orrrr listen to the yogpod! A couple of years ago I found a really cool youtuber group that I really really liked, they have since become pretty big and have expanded to making a podcast along with other things! I never really got into podcasts but now that they have one that is actually really funny i'm getting more into them! I have recently seen too that another youtuber I like has a podcast! Jenna marbles and her boyfriend Julian, I love both these you tubers to death! So hopefully that will keep me busy on my drive down there!
I think that I have everything that I will need down there, I just need to pack it! They say that your first year moving into a dorm you always bring way to much, well I think that is probably going to happen. I'm going to end up being  just like Jenna Marbles's in her video down below.
Oh well you learn from your mistakes right? It's not really that bad, I'm actually not taking nearly as much as many of my friends that have already moved in to their colleges!
I'm also excited to meet my roomate! She seemed nice when I got into contact with her a while ago! So im hoping for the best!
I just feel so "ugh" about the whole moving/packing/college thing because I've realized about myself that I really really like to be prepared, and I know nothing of what to expect about this whole college thing. You get so many different ideas and theory's from people, that I just don't know what to believe. I guess i'm just going to have to chill out and just learn as I go. (can't you just smell the stress?)
My best friend, starts school on Monday(tomorrow), I really want to wish her luck, I don't know how i'm going to deal with seeing her 24/7 to not seeing her until I come home! I definitely  going to miss my Dad, and Becky and the rest of the family down here, but I think one of the hardest things that i'm going to have to do is leave my dogs behind, I have always been a major animal lover, dogs in particular (besides the ocean animals of course!), I wanted to be a vet for the longest time ( and it still is my back up plan), I have grown such a good connection with both of my dogs (alike all good dog owners), especially Chico my little man. We got him when I was just going into high school, and hes been my rock, and my best friend ever since, hes always by my side no matter where I go (even when I leave the house, even though he doesn't really like car rides _-_). I have such an attachment to him I'm kinda mad at myself for needing him so much, I can hardly sleep when I don't stay at home with him under the covers with him being the tiny little spoon as usual. (this may sound a bit odd to non animal people, or people that may not love their precious doggie as much as I love mine), I cant stand the thought of not having him near me all the time I'm very confident and positive that I will be able to survive down there without my family and my animals, but I know its going to be a large challenge. I will probably be coming home next weekend _-_.
Another hurdle that I don't know if I will be able to jump is having to pick a certain amount of my books to take. I just want to take them allllllllllllllll. I cant choose. I'm really struggling with this, there are just so many, and I "love" them so stinking much. (another point people may think i'm weird about, but ohhhh believe me book lovers will understand completely)!
On another note, I got my loot crate! I think I liked last months, villains a little better, but it still is pretty dang cool! I'm going to start either doing an unboxing vid, orrrrrrr just do what i'm going to do today and just post pics!
So here's what came in my LootCrate, and I haven't really introduced what lootcrate is, so here we go. LootCrate is a monthly box that comes in the mail, its all about gaming and geeky stuff, it always has a theme, and this months theme was "Heros" (i thought it would be a lot cooler than it was, but meh) It cost right around $20 month, it sometimes comes with really neat shirts that are worth $20 alone in my opinion, it is normally waaaaaay worth the $20 to me! So here's a little idea of what comes in it and what I got this month!
GROOT! I haven't seen this movie but I reallllly want to, Monica said it was a really good movie!

The hero's info book :P

My favorite thing that cameeee the sonic air freshener! (still need to hang it in my car lol)

A fancy little fridge magnet that I can use on my new mini fridge! The monthly button, and my official looter card! I'm a Member!

This little guy, not to big of a fan of the TMNT. but hes kinda cute.

AAAAND bonus content/games on steam woop woop!

Lastly, TMNT glasses, and shoe winnngs, they are pretty cool wings, but not really my style _-_ :P

This crate I wasn't to happy with, it seemed a lot more kiddish than past crates, kinda. Maybe it was because I was expecting some awesome hero stuff, like batman and THOR and spider man.. but hey, well, its still cool!

I snapped this shot a little while ago and I guess I can show how awful my packing situation is. Keep in mind I  only have 3 whole days left to get it all together!
and that's not even all of it, still haven't even touched the clothes situation _-_

Anyways on an ending note! I'm hoping all will go well, I will get my act together with packing, we will have a safe trip down, a successful move in, I like my room mate/classes and that its not as stressful as people say! I hope the next time I blog I will be OFFICIALLY A TEXAS A&M SEA AGGIE!  All moved in and settled!
Cant forget the song of the day!!!
More  Mileeeey!

Aggie Pride!

The long awaited trip to Galveston finally came and went, we all had an amazing time! I feel like I defiantly know the campus much better, its quite small to start with. I also got my classes scheduled, which was my main worry. I may not have gotten diving, but all will come in time. They added a new diving minor this year and i'm really really thinking about picking that for my minor.Got my fancy little I.D for proof! MUG SHOT!
We also stopped by Buc-ee's four times, there used to be only one,but now they have a brand new one right outside of Houston. If you have never been to Buc-ee's you are missing out, best gas station in Texas, amazing barbque, best beef jerky, and fudge in the country, and its about the size of a Walmart super center!
And there's the wonderful library, and the beautiful anchor!
Best way to get from island to island, the Texas State Ferry System, this was one of the many wonderful weathered days we had down there! Even saw some dolphins too, just couldn't get a good picture.
The beautiful sunset on the island we stayed on!
Cargo guy, getting in the way.
This amazing lady! Out to dinner!

The very cruise ship we rode on a while ago! Off to take people somewhere amazing!

I didn't get as many pictures as I would have liked, but I got a few, all that matters is that I really fell in love with the place that I will be moving to in less that two months. I had an amazing time with my father, and best friend  and i'm sad to say that I wont be seeing their faces everyday here soon!

On another note, I got a few knew things I really like, some new shampoo and conditioner, and a new jewelry holder!

Its a wonderful little bird bath!

Anyways I used the Tresemme curl hydration this morning and it did wonders for my hair! I would recommend this duo to anyone who has curly or wavy har! Its life-changing!
On another note! I think I have actually begun to like working out! Becky and myself have been jogging two miles a day, and i'm really seeing some improvements!
Welp! Song of the day! Warming up for JULY 4TH!!

Shopping!

Had a nice day of shopping yesterday with Becky! I'm finally starting to get some real clothes, my old wardrobe consisted of school clothes (uniforms) and sweats. So now i'm buying a lot of summer clothes ever so slowly. I'm hoping to get a good style and wardrobe going for when I move to a beachy climate! I have never really had clothes that I felt "myself" in I was always wearing something that I did not really like or as of a couple years ago sweats and hoodies because I was very self conscious.  Although! Now as a part of coming out my shell I am now wanting everything, I want to look good and feel good! I think buying cute summer clothes/swim suits is really helping me to grow as a person and making me quite happy. (weird thing to make me feel this way, but it really is) A couple of friends and I are wanting to go out to the harbor tonight, that will be quite fun. I can feel summer, and I am so glad its here. I feel like a total weight has been lifted off of my shoulders, now that I don't have to go to high school, all of my stress and anxiety has seemed to leave (kinda). I feel as the "adult" I am. So much is happening soooo fast, August will be here soooo soon, and I'm going to be moving 5 HOURS away from home, where I know no one! BUT, i'm thrilled! This is where I want to be, near the ocean, doing ocean oriented things! I want to join all the clubs that they have down there, sailing club, scuba diving, leadership, and so many more. I wish I would have time for it all. I know this post is kinda going all over the place, but just bare with me. We go down to Galveston in about two weeks, i'm so excited, its freshman orientation, and MINI VACAY! I'm ready to get my tan on, and get in the waves! I want to go swimming sooooo bad! Now that I'm getting back to my "old self" (or a all new person, I haven't figured it out yet) I have embraced my inner fish, (or as I wish, Mermaid) I don't want to ever leave the water. I used to always be at the pool or the ocean, but, along with my self esteem  the days of being in the cool water were dismissed. AND NOW I want it back, I want all the hot summer days spent inside, to have been in the water, somewhere, anywhere. SOOO I think I have convinced me padre to take me to Hawaiian Falls next Friday, maybe, I sure hope so. I know this post has reallllly been all over the place , but then again I havent really outlined one of these before I posted in a while anyways. One thing thats bringing me down though, is not being able to see George Straight Tomorrow, Its his last concert, ever. The King of country music is retiring, and all of my favorite singers are going to be there. Its been sold out since the week that it went on sale, and the ones you do find are $400 dollars to much, I've been trying to win tickets on the radio for months but have had no success. So, I have accepted that im not going, kinda. BUT its kinda okay, because I WILL be going to see DIERKS BENTLEY in July, one of my favorite singers of all time, along with Willie Nelson. I need to get me a little white tank top. And, on that note, here is the song of the day! (the reason I need a little white tank top)!

Graduate!

Well, this little lady is finally a high school graduate! I graduated this past Saturday, it was an amazing experience and I was so glad most of my family could be there! I have mixed emotions,  I don't think that its hit me yet that i'm moving away in a little more than two months! Its all happening sooooooooo quickly. I remember thinking back to freshman year, and wondering when I would ever graduate and get out of this stinking town. Well now its nearly here, and i'm kinda sad that i'm going to be leaving some very amazing friends and family, and most importantly some beautiful, loving, pets! Finally got a short job lined up, going to be working at my old high school (crazy right?) for about two weeks, end up getting paid quite a bit, so i'm hoping that will help out with all the things I need to buy for moving/school! We had a wonderful graduation party, a lot of family and friends came, it was a hit! Sad that its all over now. We currently have some family from out of town staying with us, so I get to see a little bit more of Becky than I normally do, that's pretty awesome! We all went bowling today, that was entertaining, wouldn't say that I did to well, but it was fun. Tomorrow we plan to go see "Heaven Is For Real", I finished the book quite a while ago and now i'm ready to see the movie! Gonna go with some amazing women that really mean a lot to me. AND I hope to get some goooood AMC pop corn! For now, I just plan on taking a little break until mid June when my job starts. I plan on catching up on my reading and beating some of those old PS3 games again! I just recently finished "Snow White and The Huntsman" it was pretty good, now i'm moving on to "Angels and Demons" by Dan Brown, I've heard its pretty good. Also working on Saints Row the Third now, I still haven't gotten around to beating it, even though I got it quite a while ago, i'm about half way done with it, its been pretty good so far. I'm hoping to have a relaxed but eventful summer, and take in all the relaxation I can until college starts!
The song of the day is sort of a old song, but I recently have fallen in love with it all over again!

Senior Pictures

All things seem to be going good, got my prom dress, and its being fitted this very second, should be done later today. I still need to find shoes and stuff but that will come in time. I have to go shopping with my date sometime this weekend, planning to go with my best guy friend, should be a lot of fun! Also got my senior pictures done! May need to do more later due to the inclement weather, it was sooooo cold, and they didn't turn out as well as I wanted! BUT its all fine! I think I have a large problem with pintrest. I cant stop pinning, its just so addicting! Anyways, I feel like I haven't been on here in forever, I haven't been able to play nearly any video games and I think i'm in withdrawal. I really would like to play some borderlands or even Skyrim, or maybe some Minecraft. Although, I am kind of waiting on a new TV, because I have always had a small tv in my room, and its just so troublesome to play games on, Ive always made the best of it but I would really really like a new one. I'm also thinking about college a lot now, I am quite excited to be moving in less then 5 months, im quite scared yet ready. Also on another note, im hoping to get a job with my school for about three weeks over the summer, it pays quite a bit and I would be able to work with many of my friends! I'm hoping all goes well with that! I'm also planning on finishing my "Evolution impossible , and starting "Atlantis, and other lost worlds" soon, more like today. Currently on YouTube I'm watching more YOGSCAST videos, i'm loving my dose of Lewis and Simon, they are great together and I love all of their Minecraft spin offs  They are amazing.

Song of the day is Bottoms Up! By an amazing man, Brantley Gilbert Addicted to this song too!

Camping!

This last weekend was quite productive! Got my entire room organized and cleaned, did a few DIY's. I did the coke bottle bracelet holder, and the toilet paper pen/pencil organizer one.

Got the mess of a closet cleaned up and all organized, found a few clothes that I forgot about! Also got the bathroom organized and cleaned, was a huge task. Although, the best thing that got accomplished was, that I beat Batman Arkahm Island, only got about 70 percent done, but the Riddler will be for another day! Purchased Arkahm City, downloaded it while I made sugar cookies! Used a new recipe, just a normal one, then I added my own orange flavor in! They turned out pretty good if i do say so myself! Also got ahead in my Science class, got a lot of homework done! Have to remember to buy my prom ticket on Thursday, I cant believe its coming up so quickly! Friday is going to be a grand day, first off its a jeans day, and aside from it being a B day I think it will go pretty quickly! The best thing that will make Friday be such a good day is, the fact that we are leaving forrrrrrr camping!! I'm so excited, going with the famiy (Including Becky of course) AND a new addition, Monica one of my nearest and dearest friends! We are all soo excited. I am also looking forward to being able to drive, following my father of course. We are also bringing the little puppy, cheeky! I think that it will be a blast and a good way to start off SPRING BREAK! On another note, I made it to stage three in my scholarship pursuit, have an interview down in Houston in April, soooo excited yet nervous, I realllly need/hope for this scholarship. If i do get it, it could mean 12 grand per year, that would be a hugeeee help! I'm really hoping things work out in my favor! Started a little bit of working out again, hoping to tone up a little bit for prom! Currently am reading Tartuffe and Other Plays by Moliere, which is pretty good, they are old French plays all put into one book, they all involve a strong view on independent women. So good so far, have to read them for a UIL competition. Also, am trying to read the Wicked series too, there is just not enough time in the world for reading! (nerd moment). Anyways, i'm quite excited for Friday, and Prom dress shopping! Friday needs to hurry up and come!
Well, heres the song of the day! Because its been in my head all day!

Sleep

So today went pretty well, had a amazing time in leadership, we (Monica and myself) jumped right in made friends and it feels like we have been a part of the family from the beginning! I finished the book that we got for English, "The Importance of being Earnest" it really hit home and was a overall great read! I wish it had more than three acts! Now to finish "Lifeboat" and move on to "Divergent"! I'm excited to start Divergent, it looks like something I would like quite a bit. The work load this semester seems to have been cut down to nearly nothing, I'm guessing it was all that darn Academic Decathlon. After school today I came home and was starving to death, so we ordered Chinese food! We always go to a place called Chan's, they have amazing Orange chicken, and now we know that their stuffed mushrooms are pretty dang good too! After eating a very hardy meal I then proceeded to fall asleep until around 8pm, so now I am suffering the consequences, wide awake with nothing to do! On another note! I have decided that I want a tattoo!(If any of my family is reading this, I love you..) I want to get Philippians 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me" I want to get it on my rib cage. I have been wanting a tattoo for quite some time now, and I never knew what to get, well now i'm sure of it! This very verse was largely popular with my mother when she was going through hard times, which was quite often. I would always remember her repeating this to herself, just this, no complaints, no objections to her current situation. I feel like getting this would help me with my struggle to push her all together from my memory, it will also help me to remember why I stay in my faith. I'm just a tad scared that in the future I may regret getting something so permanent, in such a location that may be subjected to stretching! Especially if kids are in the future. I presented this idea to my father and hey well I didnt get a no, and I think after some great thinking I'll come to the right conclusion, hopefully. The only thing is, if I want to get it done right (there's no way I would go somewhere like "Bob's Garage") its quite expensive. But! There's definitely no rush whatsoever, I want to be a hundred percent sure! Anyways, tomorrow is my easy day, get out at 2pm, plan on either going on a walk with Becky or coming home and playing some PS3 MineCraft with Becky! Either way I should have some fun! I guess I will go watch some "That 70's show" and attempt to go to bed.. maybe (unless tic wants to play something *Cough*)
I still think I have a problem....
Song of the day isssss!...

HOMEWORK

I have tons of homework to do, ugh. I plan on doing that as soon as I finish up here! Also plan on blogging everyday again... hopefully! Anyways last night went well, had a change of plans, went out with Monica, just drove around a bit, talked and went to walmart. Was quite fun considering I had nothing to do anyways! Today I may be hanging out with a friend that I have not seen in quite a while, if I could just man up and stop being so stinking shy. Anyways, I plan to work out tonight, its been two nights since I have, I also plan to take that bath I have been wanting to take for soooo long. I got some bath stuff for Christmas that I really want to try in there, Thanks to my lovely Aunt Rhonda! I also would like to get caught up on "Once Upon a Time" which I did not do yesterday! I may go on a walk with my Becky Bear if it warms up to what they say it will today, 70 degrees! PRAISE THE LORD! I'm sick and tired of this collllld! BUT I will gladly welcome it untill I get the beach body I want, in August of this very year, I will be moving to a beach town, so therefore I need to look and feel good in a bikini if I want to menatally survive! My plan is to try and get there quite soon!  Becky and I are thinking about joining a cheap gym, it may be a risky decision, because I reaaaaaally dont like working out in front of anyone, much less guys.. yea I said it GUYS! Anyways I will see where it goes. I think I want to just hang out for the rest of the day, maybe catch up on my homework, shows, and reading. At the moment I am listening to Lorena McKennitt! She is just so amazing, she makes me want to travel even more, Scotland, Ireland!
I also plan on watching more Pewds play Penumbra, soooooo..... I may get nothing said above done today, also plan on  playing something with my good friend Wolf, if she would ever get onnnnn.
That will be all.

Pecan Tarts

So I started off this weekend hanging out with a couple friends, went to see Devils Due, worst movie ever. Then this morning started off well, made me a nice healthy smoothie, played a little bit of "One Late Night" a free short horror game, was pretty good, kinda slow though. Then I played a little bit of "The Dead Linger", the game is coming along quite nicely I have to say. Got some laundry done, got my essay and letters of recommendation for the scholarship mailed off, biggest accomplishment of the day! Also tried out a new Pinterest recipe, for Mini Pecan Tarts, they turned out well! Had enough Pie dough to make one of my Grandmothers signature cinnamon roll up thingy (perfect name right?). They turned out great, would definitely  o them again!
PROOF!

The Cruise went well! I am ready for another one already! Schools going pretty well, soooooo glad I got out of ACDEC and got into leadership again! I feel so honored to be in it, helping all around the school, we did all the recycleing and organized the clothes we have collected for the people in need, now all we have to do is wash alllllllllllllllllll of them! I could definitely  see myself doing something that involved volunteer work in the future, even if it was just on the side. We also went to feed the homeless last week, got up around 3AM and headed out to Dallas to the homeless shelter! I really enjoyed doing this, even if it was bright and early, I really truly got a lot out of it, and I cant wait to do it again! That reminds me, when we went down to Texas A&M at Galveston we kinda learned about a group called S.A.L.T, from my understanding it is something a lot like Leadership here at my high school, i'm really interested in joining this group, they seemed like such a huge family and help to the school. On another note, I think I will spend the rest of the day catching up on the  end of the season of "Once Upon A Time" and play some more "Black ops Two", and work out with Becky Bear. I'm sure the night will not be to eventful!
Oh and here's the song of the day(two of them)! I think i'm obsessed with her...
